Blue Strike considers community partnership as a key priority in executing the Marathon’s environmental programs.  Blue Strike engages with six community groups to lead the  Green Teams at multiple zero waste events throughout the year. We have formed a partnership with the local food bank to recover an estimated 1,800 lbs of edible food per year; worked with the landfill to research solutions for compostable service ware; and established a reuse program with a local non profit to capture 2,000 lbs of discarded clothing.
