Sustainability Program Design, Implementation, and Reporting
Blue Strike works with clients to design frameworks within an organization to guide policies around site protection, procurement, resource management, and access and equity. The first step is to establish a baseline assessment for how the organization is functioning and where improvement could be made to better support the environment and the community that organization serves. Goals are then identified and performance metrics are assigned to allow for annual reporting on performance. Communication and creating community legacy projects are paramount to our work.

Our ability to have the most direct impact is through our work with sustainable events and venues, helping our clients increase their social footprint while decreasing their environmental footprints. Events allow us to stay public- facing, creating programs that resonate with the broad civic community and serve as a portal for integrating climate, energy and resilience into fan engagement. Events enable our programs to come alive and the partnerships and resources we bring to those events ensure programs remain sustainable into the future. Our deep operational expertise enables us to streamline event and venue operational efficiency as sustainability measures are implemented, empowering event organizers, facilities crews and attendees to ensure long-term success.
Community Partnerships
Blue Strike organizes grassroots initiatives to advance public-private partnerships with community groups and public and civic agencies in order to build long term programs that leverage resources and build capacity. A key focus is to ignite inclusivity to ensure events and venues are accessible to all. Our vision is to bridge the gap between sustainability and climate action planning efforts with the local communities where those plans are implemented, effectively aligning event operations and organizational operations with the community planning goals in which these activities occur. Our strength is to articulate the technical elements of sustainability through a robust and inclusive stakeholder engagement process.
Stewarding Services
Ecology is pretty straightforward. Blue Strike provides trash, recycling, and food waste stewarding services for all types of events. In addition to standard diversion programs, we can source separate nearly all event materials through edible food recovery donations, construction and demolition programs, carpet recycling programs, and reuse partnership programs. These programs are successful by handling waste hauler relationships, vetting recycling, composting, and reuse facilities, and engaging in community partnerships prior to the event. Depending on client interest, Blue Strike can help set up these programs in markets where they do not exist or work with existing programs to identify untapped diversion solutions.
