Blue Strike guided the Village of Glenview through the development of a Sustainability Plan that aligns with the Village’s long-term environmental, economic, and social priorities. This project established a strategic framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing climate resilience, and promoting sustainable development. Our approach included a data-driven assessment of Glenview’s current sustainability initiatives, an inclusive stakeholder engagement process, and the development of actionable strategies tailored to the Village’s needs. The final plan integrates key focus areas shaped by regional best practices and the input of the community. A detailed implementation roadmap outlines measurable benchmarks, accountability mechanisms, and funding opportunities to support execution. The Sustainability Plan was developed in close collaboration with a designated Sustainability Coordinator from Baxter & Woodman, who worked alongside Village staff to oversee implementation and ensure initiatives progress according to the plan’s established timeline. This role was critical in integrating sustainability efforts across municipal operations, tracking key performance metrics, and facilitating ongoing community engagement to maintain momentum and accountability.
